Phase pull Stage Area

Prepare activities ahead of time — without crowding your timeline

The Stage Area in the phase pull view is a collapsible workspace where you can prepare activities before placing them on the schedule. It’s ideal for setting up work in advance of a planning session or coordinating with your team before finalizing the sequence.

As in the weekly view, the Stage Area helps keep your board clean and lets you work efficiently without pressure during collaborative meetings.

Add activities to the phase pull Stage Area

To create an activity in the phase pull Stage Area:

  1. Click the Stage Area bar to expand it (if collapsed).
  2. Right-click (or press and hold on a touchscreen) on the empty background.
  3. In the contextual menu, select Add activity to the Stage Area.
  4. The Add activity dialog will appear with the following fields:
    • Activity name — required
    • Schedule activity ID — optional
    • Trade — required (you can turn off the Active trades toggle to view all)
    • Number of days — how long the activity should span (1–99)
    • Crew size — size of the crew for the activity (1–99)
  5. Click Save to create the activity or Cancel to discard.
  6. The new activity will appear stacked in the Stage Area, ready to be dragged into the timeline when needed.

Note: The Save button will remain disabled until all required fields are completed.

Collapse the Stage Area to save space

The Stage Area can be expanded and collapsed as needed. When you’re not using it, collapse it to provide more space for planning. You can expand it again at any time when you’re ready to review saved tags or add new ones.

Stacking tags

When a trade creates multiple activities, the tags will appear stacked together. To view the tags in the stack:

  1. Click or tap on the stack to cycle through the activities one by one.
  2. Drag out any activity when you’re ready to place it on the plan.

Note: Pre-populate the Stage Area before collaborative sessions to get a head start on adding activities. This helps the team focus on coordination and not data entry.
