Trades

Manage the teams responsible for getting work done

The trades in Nialli™ Visual Planner represent the crews or disciplines responsible for completing activities. Each trade has its own background color and contact information, making it easier to assign and coordinate tasks throughout the plan.

Access the trade settings

  1. Click the Nialli logo to open the side menu.
  2. In the side menu, under the Settings section, select Trade.
  3. You will see the Trade tab, which includes:
    • An Import from file button
    • An Import master trades button
    • An Add trade button
    • A table listing all existing trades

Each row in the list contains:

    • Trade name
    • Contact name
    • Email
    • Phone
    • Edit icon — to modify trade details
    • Trash icon — to delete the trade

The background color of each row reflects the assigned trade color.

Add a trade

When you add a trade, you also add a list of the disciplines that will be setting activities and doing the work. In the Users section, people will be assigned to one or more of these trades and this gives them access to the plan.

To add a new trade:

  1. Click the Add trade button.
  2. In the Add trade form, complete the following fields:
    • Name — the trade or discipline name
    • Contact — the main point of contact
    • Email — a way to reach the contact
    • Phone — a contact number
    • Color selector — a color for the trade (it will be circled in blue)

Note: Colors that are already assigned appear with a checkmark. You can still select them — the checkmark is only an indicator.

    • Active toggle — turn off if the trade is no longer active but you want to retain it for historical records or activate it at a later date

Note: Inactive trades will not appear in the drop-down list when assigning trades to new activities.

           3.   Click Save to create the trade or Cancel to discard changes.
