Locking a plan

Control editing access to maintain plan integrity

Locking a plan ensures that no changes can be made in Nialli™ Visual Planner without the team’s knowledge and agreement. This feature is particularly useful between weekly planning sessions to prevent unauthorized modifications.  

How to lock or unlock a plan 

  1. Click the Nialli logo to open the side menu. 
  2. In the side menu, under the Settings section, select Plan. 
  3. In the Plan tab, use the Plan locked toggle to lock or unlock the plan. 

Note: Only the plan administrator has the authority to lock or unlock the plan. 

 

What happens when a plan is locked 

The plan is locked for two weeks from the current date, allowing for editing beyond two weeks. While the plan is locked: 

  • No one can add, move or modify any tags in the plan. 
  • Trades may add or edit tags in the Stage Area at any time. 
  • Tag statuses may be changed, enabling trades to update statuses while in the field. 
  • Users may be added to the plan. 

Locking a plan ensures changes cannot be made without the team’s awareness, maintaining the plan’s accuracy and reliability.
