Why invest in visual planning?
Software only works if field teams use it. Nialli Visual Planner brings the familiar, pen-and-paper pull planning process online in an intuitive digital format.
The result? Immediate contractor buy-in, smoother daily handoffs and a transparent window into project progress for owners.
“We worked with Glencar Construction on a complex refurbishment within a live shopping centre, and their use of Nialli Visual Planner brought real clarity to the process, enabling the team to coordinate effectively and identify constraints early. Throughout the project, their commitment to minimizing disruption to customers was evident.”

Why should project owners consider digital pull planning?
If you're experiencing challenges with trade coordination, miscommunication or timely delivery, your project may benefit from leveraging a more collaborative approach to scheduling at the ground level. Traditionally done on paper, pull planning is a proven way to improve communication and project outcomes.
However, in an increasingly digital world, there are limitations to using Post-it® Notes and paper. Going digital enables construction plans to be accessible in a visual, interactive and easy-to-follow format, enabling user access from any location or device. Plus, digital pull planning enables teams to work at a much faster pace, collect vast amounts of data on project progression and standardize what’s working across projects.

Why do I need Nialli Visual Planner if my project is using a CPM schedule (Oracle® Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject®, Microsoft Project, etc.)?
Critical path method (CPM) scheduling serves a different purpose from collaborative planning methods in construction. Applications like Oracle Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject or Microsoft Project are essential for establishing contractual milestones, long-term logic and overall project deadlines. They tell you what needs to be done and when.
Nialli Visual Planner focuses on how teams in the field will actually get the work done. This is shorter term in horizon, bringing together field decision-makers and subcontractors to map out the daily and weekly handoffs required to hit critical project milestones.
Your CPM schedule sets the destination and Nialli Visual Planner is your ground-level GPS. -
How does Nialli Visual Planner integrate with other scheduling tools and processes?
Information from Nialli Visual Planner can be shared with other scheduling programs. Data can be imported into Nialli Visual Planner from a contractual or master schedule to commence the planning process. When you need to send information back, Nialli Visual Planner data can be exported out to Microsoft Excel or Power BI reports. Nialli also offers a custom API.
