Nialli adds photos and archiving to Visual Planner for Lean planning

Latest enhancements to Nialli Visual Planner include photo capture, plan archiving, global reasons for variance and streamlined Microsoft® Power BI reporting for construction teams.

Calgary, Alberta — May 5, 2026 — Nialli Inc., a SaaS collaboration company focused on transforming construction planning processes, announces new enhancements to Nialli™ Visual Planner to assist teams in implementing Lean practices for effective jobsite planning and coordination.

Building on customer input, the latest update adds new functionality that makes it easier to capture actual jobsite conditions, manage plans and standardize reporting across projects and subscriptions. Customers can now upload photos from a mobile device directly into Visual Planner and then associate them with activities. This gives construction teams a practical way to show real jobsite conditions during planning conversations, making images of activity completion, constraints and other site realities visible to team members and stakeholders. Uploaded photos can be viewed on other mobile devices, computers and wall displays. The update also introduces plan archiving, global reasons for variance and a simplified process for accessing Power BI reports.

As construction companies push to improve productivity and decision-making, planning data is becoming more valuable — but only if it is easy to capture, consistent for reporting and instantly accessible. Nialli’s latest features support that shift by making Visual Planner more helpful not only during collaborative planning sessions but also in project analytics and reporting.

The core enhancements to Visual Planner include:

• Photo capture: On a mobile phone or tablet, photos can be uploaded into Visual Planner and associated with activities, making it easier during planning discussions for team members to review jobsite conditions, completed work and constraints. Uploaded photos can be viewed on mobile devices, computers and wall displays.

• Archive of plans: Subscription administrators can archive existing plans formulated in Visual Planner to refresh available subscriptions while retaining the archived plans as read-only records.

• Global reasons for variance: Subscription administrators can create reasons for variance at the organization and subscription levels and enable or disable them as needed. This standardization facilitates the gathering of more meaningful analytics.

• Power BI report improvements: Accessing Power BI reports is now easier and more intuitive through a simplified workflow, helping teams generate advanced insights and track project performance trends more efficiently.
